Date: Wednesday, 17 September 2025 Time: 7:00 p.m. Location: The Chapel of the Adelaide West Uniting Church Worship Leader: Peter Whiting Theme: I'm almost finished with calling myself a Christian Presentation by: Reverend Dr Phil Carr Those who call themselves 'Christian', (a label first deployed in the alleyways of Antioch in what is now southern Türkiye towards the end of the 1C CE), never stop finding ways to be different from the world in general and even from other Christians. Things that many christians say and do makes the connection increasingly tenuous to the one whose name they claim. So much so, one might ask how many christians perched on the Christian family tree, bear any longer a resemblance to the Christ. Therein lies a problem. If some Christians act crazy, maybe it's time for people of faith to give up on that label.
